Our history

Fimtech was established in 2001, as a spin-off from the Engineering Division of SCA-Mölnlycke (Hygiene Products) situated in Tønsberg, Norway.

During the 80’s and 90’s SCA Hygiene Products in Tønsberg developed and built world class, high speed production machines for hygiene disposables products like diapers, sanitary napkins and tampons. These machines are still today considered to be state-of-the art due to its completeness, complexity and high output volume.

In 1999 SCA sold this division to an important machine building company in Bologna, Italy. Our CEO, Dag, was appointed technical director for this new constellation. Two years later the engineering specialists from the SCA- Mölnlycke era, decided to join their forces and established Fimtech; Flexible, Innovative and Modular TECHnology. with the vision to offer their know-how and machine building capability to demanding international customers.

Today, more than two decades later, Fimtech can look back on a successful era where we have co-designed and manufactured many challenging machine projects. This has given us the opportunity to further develop our world class competence within converting technology, but not only… as Fimtech has been trusted to solve a wide range of challenges over the last 20 years.

And we are still always ready to help solving our customers challenges.
