History
- FIMTech AS is a company specialized in the development, manufacturing and installation
of automatic production machines for international customers within the field of disposable
products (hygiene, food and household).
- The company was established in 2001 and we are today approx. 30 collaborators.
- Many of us have earlier worked as senior engineers in SCA / Mölnlycke,
and during many years we have gained high competence in the development,
building and start-up of world class, high speed production machines
for hygiene disposable products all over the world.
- In our modern design and factory facility located in Tønsberg, approx. 100 km. south of Oslo,
we assemble and test the machines before they are released for shipment to our customers.
- We buy machine parts and electronic components from cost-effective suppliers throughout Europe.
- Our turnover for the last years has been more than EUR 7 mill. per year in delivered
machines and services.
Vision and strategy
- Our vision is to be one of the leading suppliers of machines and machine units for the converting
of roll-based materials (non-woven, plastic etc.) to consumer disposable products at high speeds.
- We want to work in close co-operation with customers that are not in competition with
each others, but who use similar types of machine technology:
- Unwinding, feeding and conveying technologies
- Cutting, stretching and positioning technologies
- Joining and bonding technologies
- Folding, rewinding and stacking technologies
- We also want to be a support for other type of customers where spin-off from our specific
competence can be utilized.
Business idea
We want to provide to our customers equipment and services within a wide range;
From:
- Diagnosis & analyses of existing machines or machine units with proposals on improvements.
- Concept studies of new machine processes.
- Upgrade of existing machines or machine units regarding product features and/or productivity.
To:
- Development and design of new machine units based on technical requirements and product specifications.
- Concept studies for new machine processes.
- New, complete machines or parts of machines
(together with selected machine partners and workshops), tested and installed.
